Yes, this contradicts to what most people hope for. Unfortunately, I have to share what I did while I was in Las Vegas last month, which was taking fashion style wedding shots of Stephanie and Stephen.
This was exciting since this was something I had never done before. The setting was different than the the typical grassy Midwest area. Please see pictures below and enjoy the heat of Nevada desert!
Haley and Robert live in Phoenix and yet they had their wedding in Radnor, outside of Columbus, north of Delaware, to be closer to their parents and family. All the bridesmaids and groomsmen were from out of state too.
We were there 3 hours before the ceremony began and were able to take preparation pictures and get known Haley, Robert, and the wedding party much better. They were relaxed, comfortable, and made non-stop jokes during the photo session.
Haley looked gorgeous in her wedding dress and Robert charmed the audience with his friendly and hilarious personality.

Jennifer, Brian and their son, Ty, were really fun to work with. It was a pleasure working with them since our engagement session. The wedding was really fun too!
Venue: Bryn Du Mansion
Jennifer & Ben had a unique venue for their wedding. It was such a beautiful barn. Dessert table filled up with wedding cakes really popped up in the reception. As their wedding photojournalist, I could not resist to capture special expressions and details in their wedding.
Safiya and Alex had a unique Islamic ceremony held at Cosi’s Atrium with downtown and riverfront views. Safiya wore a traditional Moroccan hand sewn wedding dress. She looked stunning and eccentric in that dress.
The ceremony was continued by an intimate simple outdoor reception at the courtyard. The Mediterranean food was so delicious catered by Café of Istanbul, one of our favorite Mediterranean restaurants at Columbus and the wedding cake was baked by Wholefood Bakery. The cake was buttery and moist, almost perfect for our taste.
We really took pleasure as their wedding photographer for being part of capturing the beauty of a multicultural wedding.
We traveled to Ontario, Canada to shoot wedding pictures of Ayu and Quang, the fun couple. Ayu is a fine-looking bride and Quang is an extrovert groom. Even though we were weary after a long drive from Columbus, we had so much fun taking their pictures. It might be because of alcohol boost. Every guest had to take one shot of liquor.
The ceremony was charming and held in a feminine pastel color church that complemented Ayu’s urbane wedding dress. The reception had rich black and white satin linen. Candles and large red rose petals enhanced a lot of drama.
Annie and Dan reside in Australia but they would have their wedding in Columbus since Annie’s family live in Columbus.
Annie was very selective when choosing the right photographer and Restu Photography was flattered that she chose us.
Annie requested to meet Dan on the bridge for the first time on the wedding day while we captured the event. It was so romantic. Dan was anxious and excited at the same time while waiting for Annie to come. At last, she came and they kissed just like the happy ending from storybook.
We really admire the hidden talent that Evy has when it comes to flowers. All the flowers for her wedding were designed and arranged by her. The bright pink asiatic lilies looked luscious.
Her make up looked naturally magnificent on her. Mukha Custom Cosmetics did an impressive job.
The ceremony was held at St Joseph Cathedral Church in downtown Columbus. The design of this building looks very classy. We were fortunate as their friends and became their wedding photographers at the same time. Congratulations!
Nina looked stunning in her wedding day. And, Jacob reminded me of Apple Macintosh’s guy. It might be because of the glasses.
The scenic view facing to the river and downtown where the ceremony was held is so breathtaking. North Bank Park is one of the most beautiful places in Columbus for intimate outdoor wedding.
As their wedding photographers, we felt very grateful for the nice weather even though it was raining earlier that afternoon. There was nothing more beautiful than having an outside wedding ceremony facing Columbus’s downtown with a bright blue sky and amazing white clouds. We simply could not ask for a better day to take pictures.
